Information

We are a Year 0 - 8 Primary School located within a supportive rural community.

Our vision is to provide a safe, respectful learning community with Manaaktianga as its foundation, where all akonga, and their whānau feel acknowledged, welcome, and supported.

We have four classrooms, a library, Whanau (assembly) Room, teacher breakout spaces, staffroom, resource room and office. Our playgrounds are equipped with swings, monkey bars, fort, slides and two spacious sandpits. We have a buddy bench, basketball hoop, netball hoops, tennis court, and large fields for soccer, rugby and athletics.  We additionally have use of the Clinton Pool which is right next door!

We encourage our students to be active and healthy.  Three times a term, we have the Sports Activator visit our school to take skill based games and drills.  These support every student to be fitter, work together and practice skills that can be transferred to sports.  These sessions compliment our regular PE and fitness times that happen during the week.

In addition, our students get to participate in sporting events with other schools.  Rippa Rugby, Netball, Golf, Quadtrathon, Cross Country, Athletics are timetabled through the year for specific age groups.  Year 6's also participate in Clued Up Kids and our Year 7's and 8's participate in the annual PCT Challenge (Physical Competency Tes) run by NZ Police based in the Clutha region.

Every year our students also contribute to the Clinton Flower Show and bi annually we have our school Agriculture Day.

In Term 4 we have our education outside the classroom events where classes either attend camp or a day of adventure based activities.
